Mani- From a design standpoint, it's the typical power dissipation that is important to design around... Completely 100% untrue.

Jeez Mani, wannabmw's statement could never be considered completely 100% untrue. This is the great design issue confronted by engineers around the globe (probably on other globes too). Should we design a more expense, heavier system which operates under 99.999% of all situations. Or should we design a less expensive, lighter system which works 99% of the time and gracefully cuts back 1% of the time.

Watch out, if you get too emotional, you may get suspended ;-)
