SUNW has made its own up till now. In the last cc QLGC said no volume shipment on this yet. SUNW must have inventory of its own and with the slowdown they sure won't order from Q until it has sold all of its own.

I don't know if SUNW has moved to 2G yet. They must be close. SUNW needs to move to fabric. Hopefully with the HDS deal they are full fabric on the 9900s. SUNW hasn't embraced the notion of big director switches, not wanting to support anything that intelligence could reside in as a threat to the server. Over on Yahoo it has been said that the 9900 has so many ports that it doesn't make sense to pair it with small switches. Perhaps SUNW professional services will need some higher port count switches, that don't come in SUNW colors yet.
QLGC says to watch the technology transitions. We have several coming up. The move to 2G FC, and the emergence of iSCSI, the fall will have many new product announcements and many of us will be watching to see if Q can gain some valuable turf...
