No, I do understand, but maybe I should have made my statement say that software does not exist, nor will it *ever* exist, to be more clear. Or, I could have gone into a long discussion about typical buffer usage, instruction stacks, and pipeline utilization, but I figured that being concise would have been preferable over proving to you my expertise in CPU design.

I tend to disagree with that, but if you are certain, at least explain why are both Intel and AMD going towards listing TDPtyp values only?
