I don't know how many ICBM's were in the US inventory before and after Kennedy, but I suspect we had a lot more after since we were in a massive race to build weapons of mass destruction during that period. If you know the numbers it would great to share them. I do know now that we have many more nuclear warheads than are needed and we should lead the world into a more aggressive nuclear disarmament
