I don't think I've ever seen that data, but I don't believe the SnP aggregate 1972-73 p/e surpassed the 1966 peak of low 20's.

In any case, by virtually any historical valuation metric we are at or near record blow-off highs.

p/e/g
p/b
p/div. yield
debt/equity
etc., etc., etc.

Seems curious to be looking for a bottom, but maybe it really is "different this time". -g-
