Yes, I do look at NDX (support/resistence levels- not the other), but, like said, since most charts I watch have COMPX resistence/support, etc...well...
I probably should ONLY pay attention to those 2 (you mentioned), but I developed current habit early on when I started trading....and I don't think (could be wrong, I suppose) that its cost me, but you question is a good reminder that I should look again, and maybe try to be more orthodox..
Here's modesty for ya': I like to think my system is similiar to Hank Aaron's "cross-wristed" swing that he had as a young power hitter....he was actually so strong that he would bat with hands INVERTED (or switched), and still had tremendous power....it just felt comfortable to him, although no hitter hits like that
Although a later batting coach got him to switch (to a more orthodox style), Hank admitted that whenever it he faced a big at-bat, he would occasionally switch to that old trusty grip <G> |
