It took me about 15 minutes of research in the gold sector to learn that they had "finding/cash" costs AND they reported them just like the energy E&P sector. Congrats on visiting a gold mine. I'm sure it'll make you rich. So what? Why don't you admit that your original premise is bunk? I'm not saying gold can't make new lows and even go sub $200. But it won't happen because the gold miners are profitable at $200 POG.
