I logged on before the market open and I used it for about 1.5 hours.
But then, my connection went down. I clicked Quotes, but the response
said Sever Error.

They didn't tell me that. I tried to use Telemaster, and after i punched in account # and PIN, Telemaster told me that "the system was down and please try again later". Fortunately, people were still up and later I called Etrade trading dept to place my orders. For their credits, the wait time was ~10-15 mins (better than before).

Also I got most of the confirmation reports after market close at
~2:30PM EST. My feeling is that it's hard to imagine what could happen
with Etrade if the market crash.
