<O&G has tanked & Gold/Silver ramped>
But Slider! Tommy's made 70% ytd<g>
Now, how could that be? We know he's honest as the driven snow.
So, do I smell a little "creative accounting" from "the Tomster" here?<G>
What the heck, if the new era techs can go to the wall with the pro forma earnings gimmick, why can't Tommy be a tad "creative" and claim a fat ytd return?
Well booking only his gains and deferring all losses would be one way to do it...
Hey Tommaso. I'm sold!
Fed Ex ole Iso the:
"Houdini - Son of Karnak" software!
Just think. Perpetual profits. No risk. BE THE MAN!!!
Uh oh... What if it shows Iso made 1,000% ytd. ????
<ROFLMAO>
OK. Now, seriously folks, if we forget the "new era" accounting and go back to recognizing profits AND losses as they occur, it's obvious that:
1. Tommy has taken a huge bath in the patch ytd.
How do we know that? Simple. From his own statements, vs looking at where the NG stocks were in Jan/Feb vs where they've been trading recently. And we see from his own post last week on HTP that he DID NOT sell "a bunch" of his losing NG positions till recently.
Here's the post:

<Well, I decided that if you, John Q. Public, Edmond AND Slider AND Isopatch AND assorted others do not see good prospects for natural gas for the next six months or a year, it's time for me to cut back even further, so I BAILED OUT OF A BUNCH OF THINGS on the opening. Also, if gas storage is full in October, and higher than ever, as now seems likely, no one will be talking about building an Alaska or North Canada pipline for a year or two.>
(caps are mine to focus on the point that "A BUNCH" at this late date = A BUNCH of BIG losses!)
We also KNOW from post after post all the way down (since Jan/Feb) that he repeatedly refused to accept our view that the patch in general and the NG stocks IN PARTICULAR should have been sold in Feb, AT THE LATEST!!
But as you just read for yourselves, the record clearly shows him continuing to hold his positions finally making a bunch of sales last week!
Uh...smoking gun, anyone?<g>
2. BUT. Tommy not only ignored, but is STILL arguing against the second major call of 2001. "A few" on this thread have been table pounding about for months!
BUY THE GOLD STOCKS!! But the Tomster passed, staying with some positions he's had for years and years probably with losses denied as long as they're only just on paper. Fits the pattern of the Houdini Karnak program. Take only profits AND
let your losses run. So now we see the rest of the story.
Bottom line? IMHO, Tommy didn't plant himself in concrete on the wrong side of the 2 MOST IMPORTANT calls of 2001 and make a 70% return ytd? He's carrying all kinds of unrealized losses on the books so he can deny to himself and to US that he's underperformed the talented players on this thread for many years! This year included - minus the "creative accounting".
Hey, I'm not unfair. I grant the dude a few winners. Iso took profits in large positions of HGT months ago, and LOILY last week. So, I can confirm those were profitable and he made a little of his net loss back on those 2.
I'll even accept ON FAITH some recent comments by his 3 friends that there were a coupla of other profitable trades that I'm not familiar with.
Now, Tom and his pals can spin this post till the cows come home. What a ole meany that Iso is. Oh, he's sadistic like the boys that used to abuse Tommy at Military School, yada yada. Give it up guys.
What's sadistic about exposing the magnitude of the discrepencies between what the record show occured vs Tomster bravado based on him misrepresenting his real results? Since when is it unfair to look at the facts on record and place that next to the most recent case of "The Chihuahua Emperor's New Clothes???
HELLO! Isopatch to Fantasy Island.
Come relaim one of your citizens. He seems to have wandered out of the Plastic Fantastic compound. He's in danger of becoming infected with the truth virus on this thread and needs to get back into your protected bubble where he can say anything and the readers there just nod their heads and smile.<g>
It's been said many times on this thread. WE DON'T BUY BS on Strictly Drilling. Period.
The only 70% return Tommaso has been involed in is returning 70% of his net worth to the W.S. establishment that bagged him at the top and fleeced him at the bottom!
Shoot...I'm late!!! No time to even correct typos.
Cya'll tonight.
Isopatch
P.S. And please no hasty fight reservations for a rescue mission by another chihuahua potentate to look over the Houdini software generated Tomster portfolio so we can read a post here that everything conforms to accepted accounting standards.
Remember the top accounting firms think pro forma earnings are just fine.<lol> |
