Trader Alan and all, Alan, while there is no doubt the bear market has done damage to many of the BB communities, I would like to offer my opinion on this one if I may. I read the posts on this thread for the first year and a half of my day trading career until I felt I had enough knowledge under my belt to either contribute, or at the very least, ask questions without feeling stupid. Unfortunately, by that time, many posters were gone. The few times I have either asked a question or tried to get involved in a conversation, the responses were terse, and I felt like an outsider, who was not being invited in. I have a great deal of respect for those who post on this board as I have read some of the books that some here have published, and the depth of many of your posts go way beyond what I can comprehend as an "apprentice". I have a great passion for trading, I have survived (so far) the bear market, and have every intention of succeeding.....and it would be great to learn more from those who are far more experienced than I am....but when you don't feel welcome, it's not easy. It's quite true Alan, all you say about what goes on in many BB communities.....but there are some who are quite serious and sincere and would appreciate all the help they can get from those who have been successful....I am one of those people. |
