**sensitivity of the gold/silver ratio**

Roebear, about that article you posted this morning... Isopatch and I were having this discussion earlier and I'm beginning to think the two metals are becoming disconnected.

Gold has been moving independently from any indicator that we or anyone else follows. It goes to show you how desperate the supply/demand equation has become. Gold acts without logic, hence the excitement.

The ratio is presently 66:1
2000 -- 56:1
1999 -- 53:1
1998 -- 53:1
1997 -- 48:1

I'm sure sometime in the future the ratio will return to the historic norm of 40:1(unconfirmed), silver should be trading in the low $7.00 range.

Got Silver?

As for the Russian story, I'm not sure I'd believe it. Anyone else want a crack at this?

Regards
Frank P.
