Furman Selz said analyst Sanjiv Hingoram removed MICROSOFT CORP.
(down 2-1/8 to 128-1/8 at 11:10am EDT) from the firm's recommended
list, lowering it to neutral from buy. In a report, the analyst
cited the stock's valuation, noting it was trading at
price/earnings multiples of 42 times his fiscal 1998 estimate and
33.6 times his 1999 view. It said "we believe that Microsoft's
ability to provide meaningful upside surprises to published EPS
estimates for fiscal 1998 may be lower than in recent prior periods
because of the absence of a major product cycle in fiscal 1998."

Mike,

I work as an independant consultant (I'll leave it at that).

If Corel works out like I think it will, I'm going to quit and become a full-time investor. I'm 31, so I have lots of investing years ahead of me and I would like to take full advantage of the power of compounding (the eighth wonder of the world).

If Corel doesn't work out, ... well then there's always Microsoft.
