Just a parting message for this ?gold? thread. Lots of things get said here and never questioned. That's what happens when you preach to the choir. It didn't take much for warp and I to burst some of the isopatch and roebear bubble, did it? Just saying they were ultra successful and the lil doggies were so jealous didn't make it true after all.
Despite all the "this is a diverse thread where all kinds of opinion are welcome talk," this is actually a one way thread that has little tolerance for any divergent thinking, and one way thinking can lead to disaster. The net is probably a better vehicle for sharing ideas that we each can use to make intelligent and thoughtful decisions, than it is for trying to find trading messiahs to lead the way to the land of retirement. This is especially true when posters like isopatch are clearly exaggerating and lying about their trades and their success.
If you want a clear example of isopatch distorting his "real time" trading success and failures, take the time to read Reply #90875.
Note that there is no answer when they are called up short on their claims, or when they are called up on the claims that the little doggies have gone to trading hell in a handbasket. At least we should have the sense to know when we are dealing with people who are so insecure that they need to portray themselves as powerful, successful and wealthy on anonymous boards. This only works with the newbies or the terminally naive over the long run, but it can cause some annoyance to those singled out in the short run. This is especially true for those of us who were here and know what really happened and who these geniuses really are.
I offer a moment of silence for the following posters whose voices used to regularly echo on the pages of this once vibrant oil, political discourse and investment thread:
Gottfried, Razorback, Diana g, Quehubo007, Big Dog, CosOmis, JimP, John Q Public, Gina Vener, Don England, Warpfactor, Timelord, Uhmuhnum, Kollmhn, gpphantom, JungleInvestor, Tery Davis, kodiak_bull, Winkman777, Rustee, Michael Happel, Zeuspaul, Richard Dean Bagnell' Webster Groves, Rory Heiner, Douglas V Phant, Sarge K, Big Bull, excardog, energyplay, D.Floyd Russel, Ed Ajootian, and many, many more.
Out with the old, in with the new. Lead on isopatch but don't invite the attention of those who know your feet of clay and your head of sand.
