I think that we over-reach if we focus on what is said on other threads. The problem with reading people on threads whom you don't read regularly and with whom you're not familiar is that it's so easy to misread the meanings- especially when you are looking for negativity from people with whom you already think you disagree. It's happened to me several times- Average Joe once pulled a humorous parody of mine from DAR and repeated it ad nauseam on Elian as an example of my inability to think logically. It was frustrating (which I now know is exactly what he meant it to be) but most of us are rational enough to not leap to conclusions about people based on random readings. I've known Ish for years on DAR and recognized his sense of humor immediately when I checked those posts. He would no more shoot someone than rip his own heart out, although he won't like my saying that because he likes to preserve the image of tough guy. I have no idea why LW and RW are still so avidly reading each other; it's like The War of the Roses. I guess they won't stop til they kill each other.
