LAS VEGAS, NV, Aug 14, 2001 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- WTAA International is pleased to announce new appointments to the Board of Directors in preparation for the Company's 'Change of Business'. The Board welcomes Mr. Colin Vance Campbell as a new Director. Mr. Campbell is a well-known businessman and entrepreneur in the Pacific Northwest and has been the Vice-President of Operations for the Granville Entertainment Group since 1988. Mr. Campbell's extensive experience in the hospitality industry enables him to view, manage, develop, and conceptualize some of the most powerful and successful marketing campaigns the industry has seen. His knowledge and background in second-generation Internet marketing and database collection, will serve the company well as it moves to complete its acquisition of Memoremail Corp. (as announced June 13th, 2001). Mr. Larry Shaben, Director, has been appointed by the Board to reside as Chairman. Mr. Shaben brings a wealth of experience to the position will continue to serve on the Board of Directors for Canadian Utilities Limited and Diversity Corporation. Mr. Shaben has served as the Minister of Economic Development and Trade for the Alberta Government from 1986 to 1989 and, prior to that, as the Minister of Housing from 1982 to 1986 and Minister of Utilities and Telecommunications from 1979 to 1982. Dr. C.J. Weinstein, of Monterey, CA continues as a most valuable member of the Board.
Mr. Wm R. McKay P. Eng is stepping down as Chairman of the Board in order to concentrate his efforts as Founding Partner, Chairman and CEO of Jupiter Capital Ventures Inc. Mr. McKay has contributed tremendously to the growth of WTAA and the Board wishes him the best of luck with Jupiter Capital's future endeavors. Mr. McKay, along with Mr. Larson of Jupiter Capital, will continue to take an active interest as shareholders of Memoremail Corp.
In anticipation of completing the acquisition of Memoremail Corp later this month, the WTAA Board has elected to commence doing business under the business named "Memoremail", which is in the process of being finalized. As soon as the acquisition is completed, the company will complete the process of changing its formal name from WTAA International, Inc. to Memoremail Inc. The company is pleased to report that the final stages of the due diligence on the acquisition of Memoremail Corp. have been completed and formal documentation is proceeding well.
