Actually, I had said the opposite, that Intel would assume that the market *does* recover, which is why they will continue to ramp production. Right now, though, I think they have adjusted for a smaller demand, which makes sense given my example. If the market should suddenly pick up, they still have enough parts in their inventory to meet it. If demand suffers further, they will simply start more of the premium Pentium 4 wafers, and urge the market towards acceptance of the new technology. It's a win-win situation, since the cons of this move occur either way.
