Good morning from the sunny but cool SF Bay Area.

I downloaded Schwab's new , free, fancy-pants NASDAQ Level II software for active traders last night. It's a PC program but runs just fine on Virtual PC (Win98) on my Apple Titanium portable. Very entertaining, watching all the little blinking updates. We'll see if it can help me out today.

(FYI: I use ATT@Home to connect to the net, a Linksys router for my home network of 4 Macs, 2 PC's, a Linx system, and an Airport Base Station 802.11b radio which links up my portable anywhere in my home or yard. I'm impatiently anticipating a 1x modem card for my portable someday real soon now.)

I'm watching the second-by-second display ("More power!") as NTAP slowly sinks from an open at about 4.00 down to 3.68 right now. The NTAP AUG10 I'm short are also falling. I sure would like to get out of these today. I received 1.20 for these three weeks ago with NTAP at 9.80 and then, boom, it ran up 60%. The calls are now bid/ask 3.60/3.90 down from the 4.10 of yesterday. I do not want these called at 10.00 so I'm going to bite the bullet and take the loss some time today (probably).

I'll let you know what happens.
