You really need to realize that though many not so great trades are reported here, many many thousands of trades for each trade reported here are perfectly fine and no one has complaints about them.

You seldom here from other than me anyway, and sometimes Jon Tara of the trades that go through at the bid for a buy or the ask for a sell. You never hear about the 1-2 second executions because those executions are very unremarkable here. Do you really think you would be hearing complaints about 2 minute executions if 2 minute executions were the norm?? No you here about them because they are so unusual.

As you are unlikely to be day trading an IRA you probably will never experience a "bad" trade with Datek.

Just follow the simple caveat "Always use limit orders in the spread, unless you just absolutely have to sell a stock NOW" and you should have a minimum of trouble.
