G ... <smile> not wanting to get into a debate about "best modems" ... I'll simply say .. Hayes has gone belly up I've owned and used modems from 9.99 up to 189.00 and danged if I can tell the slightest bit of diff WHEN they work correctly .....ggggg and David did say he was going to broadband use in the future .. so that is the reason I said what I did ..... <smile again>
