Paul it was a confusing interplay between the two.....but I know what I heard.
The Lehman analyst said "20% drop on BOTH indexes" then Ted David said "the NASDAQ and the Dow".......
analyst nodded........ and then David incorrectly started talking about that bringing it right into resistance at 10,200...
When CNBC tried to clear up the matter 10 minutes later, there was some clarification and some further muddying of the water
the analyst was requoted as saying that yes it was 20% not 2% but that he had only been talking about the NASDAQ...
Well it still makes me wonder....given that he clearly said BOTH indexes before
Well whatever, I usually take analyst calls with a grain of salt however I have seen this one make some fairly good calls before and if a top Lehman analyst is calling for 20% drops after 6 rate cuts and periodic rampant euphoria among most of the investment community.....I listen a little closer
