Didn't you get a recovery cd from HP? You might be able to extract the needed files from there. I've got a 2 year old HP8275 at work with recovery cds and can test it for you if you'd like. Yes I did and I just dug it out. Haven't even broken the seal on the jewel case. You can test this idea? Boy, that would be appreciated. I'm half scared to do stuff like that. Thanks!
