I agree that increased sunbathing is the main cause of increased skin cancer. But ozone depletion is real and has increased UV somewhat but it is greatest when the sun is not at its strongest. Ozone is in fact a big environmental success story as the international agreements have now led to Ozone beginning to rebuild. If there had been no agreement the situation would have got progressively worse.... I am 600m above sea level inland in Australia due west of Auckland so the sun can be pretty strong here....
