Beamer - Re: "Intel had it right all along when they went with RDRAM, it's just that political issues destroyed any hope of Rambus being mainstream in the industry" Intel had the right idea for performance - but the cost issues were not well considered - the RAMBUS costs used to be horrendously expensive - and now they are just selling for a premium over DDR SDRAM. What is encouraging is that VIA's P4 DDR chip set shows some decent performance on applications - and my hope is that when Intel finally releases DDR on the i845, it's performance will closely match that of RAMBUS/850 !! Paul
