No, I said I prefer to manage forests for forest products where the greatest good can be obtained from forest products and to manage land as wilderness where the greatest good can be obtained from wilderness. There's a big difference between our viewpoints because you only have one preference whereas I acknowledge that there are some needs that can't be met from wilderness.

This idea was true in the east, but timber industries learned their lesson. They invest heavily in reforestation and density management and produce maybe ten times the wood per acre that your old-growth does. There is more forest now in the east than there was 100 years ago, and most people are unaware that it has already been cut three times in many places.

Sorry, but you don't know what you are talking about. I have the equivalent of a master's degree in forest ecology. Unlike you, I don't pretend to know all the answers. I am simply explaining the issues you are ignorant of.
