The demand picture just got "dimmer". Why did IBM "jetison" AMD ? <ggg>
Looks like OEM's are being pressure on their cost structure. They
can't afford to support two different processors. Other OEM's
to follow.

" IBM spokesman Ray Gorman said that Big Blue made the decision to
simplify its product line in a move to keep down costs.

"The majority of our customers are business customers, and they prefer to
go with the Intel platform. With razor-thin margins, it doesn' t make
sense for us to continue to invest in two separate chip platforms," he said."
