Hi NightOwl; You're making the totally erroneous assumption that the "big three" want or need Rambus' IP. My prediction: You'll see a triple digit temperature in Hell before they pay a penny to Rambus Class action lawyers. There's no need to make RDRAM, it's deader than a doornail. Their lawyers are going to go for the $170 million just like the class action guys. By the way, the statements that "now we can finally have a settlement" are getting a bit jaded, aren't they? At this point, it appears to me that Rambus management have a lot more on their minds than having to deal with Micron, Hyundai and Infineon. They have to be looking at techniques to avoid having their own pocket books emptied, not about getting money from the remaining memory makers. -- Carl
