We're talking about the North American base here...INTC needs to keep AMD out of the N/A corporation to stall AMD's rather remarkable market share advance over the past 2 years...Dell and IBM are 2 doorways to that market...The skeptical in me is asking: is the AMD threat to INTC so great that INTC/IBM have found it necessary to concoct a pact to protect the status quo of the N/A corporate market? Is this INTC's last remaining trump card?
