Niceguy, I don't care if Intc is hurting. Obviously they think they have to do what they are doing. We may think it's silly but like some people on this thread argued a while ago about fixed costs vs variable costs, Intel's fixed costs are huge, they have to sell all of their capacity to justify those costs. If that means moving everything to P4 and sell them at cost to get them to move in this slow demand market, I guess that's the route they chose. I think the fact that AMD will suffer is probably a welcome side-effect/bonus for them.
