> Interesting to see Liverpool emerging as a credible domestic challenger to Man U.
When I was a kid, Liverpool was the evil beast<g>. I love that kid Owen, his goal against Argentina will remain a classic!
>I've traditionally preferred Brazil, but I really do think Argentina has a stronger side this time out. Brazil certainly has brilliant players, but they seem to have a hard time getting them all to pull in the same direction.
You are probably right that, right now, Argentina is a much better team...Actually, if Brazil doesn't beat Paraguay today we may come to the unthinkable!
>The Evil Frog, of course, is France. I guess you can guess how I feel about that....
I loved the French team in the last WC. Yes, playing in France sure helped a lot, but after all said and done they had, IMHO, the best team there. They were also fun to watch, it was like watching 11 Brazilians out there.LOL. By winning the Euro championship next they proved, IMHO, that they are the best European team and are favorites next year in the WC. But I will sure love a repeat of Brazil - France for revenge<g>
>I'm really more of a Champions League follower than a follower of the international competitions.
It is getting easier to catch some Champions League games in the last few years on ESPN (no satelite TV for me). If I remember correctly from the Asia Thread you live in Manila right?
Well, I am getting back to refereeing soccer high school games again, so the next time Tazio rips a referee think twice<ggggggg> |
