Well using the logic of ColtonGang, the mother who provide for the child before birth can decide to have it murdered. After birth the parents and society take care of the child and thus they have the right to abort the post partem child.
Is that more cruel than caging the person for life.

I hear all the time how cruel it is to allow an unwanted child to live.
