"You mean the salmon stock and Bald Eagle nestings in Klamath?"
No, I mean the sucker fish.

"The wildlife needs it to live or die"
So do the people. The people were gauranteed water by the government. The gov't went back on it's promise (I know you don't care about this) for a speculative premise that the enviro whacko's convinced a liberal judge would happen. I don't know how many (if any) animals would die (and you don't either), but I know that these people's lives are messed up big time. You say only for a year, so I guess you are saying if there is a drought next year the farmers will be fine. You would be surprised how resilient wildlife is. If it was a case of paving a forest of filling a lake with landfill it would be different. Birds and fish have obviously lived there for the last 70 or 80 years with the farmers getting water. Do you think this is the 1st drought there has been since the farmers were granted water rights? How do you suppose the populations got to where they are? DOn;t you know during droughts, fires and other natural occurances SOME ANIMALS DIE? It's called nature. The animals have done just fine with the circumstances that lead to this years drought, and they will do fine in the future.
