New orders were $1.21 billion for the third fiscal quarter of 2001, decreasing 11 percent from $1.35 billion for the second fiscal quarter of 2001, and decreasing 63 percent from $3.28 billion for the third fiscal quarter of 2000.
Backlog at the end of the third fiscal quarter of 2001 decreased to $2.65 billion, from $3.05 billion at the end of the second fiscal quarter of 2001.

There seems to be a significant difference between "new" orders that were reported as $1.21 billion and "net" orders that are $0.93 billion ( $1.33 billion sales - ($3.05 - $2.65 billion decrease i backlog)).
