It's all relative. The higher Mhz dictates the pricing. Intel may not be doing great either but they are in the better position going forward, at this time....
They have 4 speed grades over the Athlon (1.5,1.7, 1.8 and soon 2.0)...more if they wanted to mark the chips at 1.6Ghz and 1.9Ghz.

Look at a chart of Mhz differential and AMD and Intels stock price. AMD made all it's stock gains last year when they had the Mhz lead.
AMD needs a speed grade boost...better yet a hammer...

What does Jerry do? Unload more stock.
