re: analyst EPS estimate cuts: Cutting 2001 estimates (they must be talking about CY, not FY) is probably meaningless, as everyone has about written off the nearterm (=next 6 months). But cutting CY02 estimates will hurt the stock. Notice, the justification for the EPS cuts is entirely based on a macro call "tied to an economic recovery, which we expect to be shallow and gradual". Probably the best time to buy the stock is when the number of EPS estimate cuts by analysts is at a maximum. That is, when the volume of negative noise is loudest. My guess is, that happens sometime between now and the end of 2001. So, I have the next 4 1/2 months to establish my position.
