Newhomesdirect.co.uk to trial MSU/WEB2U Version 5 Internet Access Devices.
DALLAS, TX, Aug. 15 /PRNewswire/ - MSU Devices Inc. (a publicly traded company incorporated in Delaware -- ticker symbol: MUCP.OB) announced today an agreement between their wholly owned UK subsidiary WEB-2U and Newhomesdirect.co.uk (NHD) in which NHD will field trial the new MSU V/5 Internet Access Device.
NHD specializes in offering the new homes market three independent but related services, each of which can be tailored to the purchaser, builder or developer's specific needs. These are: a Sales Agency, an Online Marketing Interactive Website featuring a show-home gallery, and Hometech. Hometech offers builders and developers the latest in home technology.
Through Hometech builders can offer technology-based lifestyle enhancements in their new properties. Hometech's ``Premier Pack'' includes high- speed Internet access, entertainment systems, programmable security systems, remote control of appliances, and much more.
Douglas MacKenzie CEO of NHD said, ``We believe that consumers now demand properties fitted with home technology that can be personalized to their own lifestyles and tastes. They require a basic platform to work from, within which Internet access plays a central role. NHD provides the cable and patch panels today, and the V/5 product is a perfect compliment to our product offering.''
In NHD's pending field trial in Scotland, the MSU V/5 device will be displayed in a brand new showroom for developers as well as in show homes on new housing estates. ``The fact that the device can connect at high speed or have the option to use the 56kb dial-up capability will ensure its suitability for a large variety of locations'', added Mr. MacKenzie. ``One of our challenges has been to figure out how to integrate Internet technology into our new homes. With a price below $200, the MSU V/5 is a superlative solution.''
Charles Williams, Sales & Marketing Manager of WEB-2U continued, ``For the delivery of Internet access, streaming audio/video and email to the new homes market, the V/5 is a great fit. The MSU V/5 product is perfect in size, non- intrusive in appearance, offers flexibility of viewing options, and is priced right for this market.'' www.newhomesdirect.co.uk
