Addi, just as chasing the high-fliers in 1999 was only for the most aggressive investors, shorting stocks now is only for the most aggressive investors. I have always been a conservative investor, looking for a margin of safety when I buy and selling well in advance of serious declines -- in fact selling well before the peak in some cases.

And no, I don't have much of a regular account. I put most of my money towards buying a house last year. I only have some emergency funds that are not meant to be invested in the stock-market.
