overproduction is something that can really hurt both amd and intel and has very little to do with capacity. It is very common that capacity is high while production is appropriate for the market conditions so the problem is not capacity.
If you noticed at the end of the day intel dropped almost as much as amd. In turn the effect is going to spill over outside of chip industry.
I am not happy as intel investor and even less so as amd investor. I would be happy as intel investor if intel would concentrate on improving the stock price rather than been hurt less than amd.
