Open Text posts better fourth quarter earnings (UPDATE: Figures in U.S. dollars unless noted)
TORONTO, Aug 15 (Reuters) - Canadian software maker Open Text Corp. (NasdaqNM:OTEX - news) posted better fourth-quarter earnings on Wednesday, citing major contract wins for its LiveLink collaborative software.
Open Text, whose software lets a firm collaborate on a project with staff simultaneously from different locations, said earnings in the quarter ended June 30 rose to $3.46 million, or 16 cents a share, up from $2.2 million, or 11 cents a share, last year.
Adjusted earnings were $5.6 million, or 27 cents a share, up from $3.6 million, or 16 cents a share, in the same quarter a year ago.
Revenue was up 30 percent to $40.5 million, compared with $32.3 million last year.
Analysts polled by Thomson Financial/First Call were expecting adjusted earnings of 25 cents a share on revenue of $41.6 million. |
