Brian, I'm with Cristina Osmena, an analyst at Needham & Co., said the deciding issue for AMAT's fourth-quarter net bookings will be backlog -- the value of its unfilled orders -- not cancellations.

And as of now AMAT backlog is $2.65B. Near the peak of cycle orders in Oct '97 it had only a backlog of $1.72B
