Tony, I think the leapfrogging might happen again. It seems that AMD's and INTC's cpu generations are off by 1-2 years. So, the Athlon had supremacy for about 2 years and I think the P4 will have frequency ( if not absolute performance when it the Mhz gap increases more ) supremacy for 1-1 1/2 years and then the hammer should beat the p4 for a while and on and on and on.......
