"I can tell you" Brocade's got a lot riding on the SW12000 if all that pulpit pounding and "raising the bar" is any indicator.

Alpha shipments this quarter, volume shipments to OEMs "late Fall." That gives them up to December 20th, and that jibes with "before the end of the calendar year" or "by the end of the 4th quarter." November wins and qualifications would fall in with their "Fall announcement activity" expectation. Revs expected to start by the end of January quarter during which they projected "moderate" growth, "mid to high single digits."

From alpha to OEM volume shipments in three months seems a mite optimistic. It would be just the thing to say to get them penciled into next year's IT budgets though.
