JXM - howdy ... you're not considering becoming a suf-erer are you -g- .. [good reason for that appellation back in the history] .... check out the current story here - southernera.com

Used to be a 'gem stock' but really more of a PGM thing at the moment, due to them making quite a good deal on a PGM mine near their just-about-finished diamond mine ... place called Messina, they're going into production now, and from grades and cost projections it does give all appearances of being able to produce excellent cash flow .... two principal negative factors imho - 1. Pd/Pt prices have tanked in the last six months, they're still ample for a profit at Messina but the trend looks bad .... then 2. there is a perception of high political risk in RSA, and the recent intensification of ethnic cleansing in Zimbabwe can only make it higher .... scarey stuff

Lots of positive things to say though - Messina is rich rich rich ... they've got a number of diamond properties, one going into production under a JV [called Camafuca but some of us have called it Camaphuqueup -g-], others that they will explore ... and they're decent explorers, got a good name ... risky business of course

At least three of us on the Winter thread talk about suf, and play it ... i'm currently out, humming and hawing about getting back in [it is a quality company imho, my occasional selling is a reflection of my opinion of the chart only] .... middle of August is historically a good time to pick up resource issues, the ol' september rally thing, there's another positive .... quite often a company going into new production will sell off, partly due to a change from speculators to investors, but more because results look iffy until the numbers come in ... imho ... i never did learn any point and figure yet, studied some on those urls you passed me but it was springtime, couldn't get into it ... next winter ... cheers
