My gosh, what could be worse than weak links!

I apologize 'bout the link. I attempted to link several articles, derived from typing NetZero into the search block, but only the search page itself came up--not the articles.

But had you the time to type "NetZero" into the search box several articles would have appeared where NetZero and Juno are described as either the third, fourth or fifth largest ISP. And if your time allows you a thorough check elsewhere you'll find others noting the new combo, added together, will become the second largest ISP, behind AOL.

Now, you must make a claim differentiating between paid and free bases of users. Fact is, even though NetZero and Juno users were provided a free net connection, their service was paid for by advertising dollars, just not from personal accounts. Remember, free-ISP users didn't concoct Cisco-powering types to become freebers in the Internet delivery market. Somebody or some entity paid for the service!

I think ultimately you'll acknowledge the second largest ISP service will be the merged combination of NetZero and Juno into a stronger United Online. When you consider a possible second deal thrown into the mix, America might finally see a formidable competitor to AmericaOnline.

And why not United Online. Clearly it's gonna take a "united" effort to give a run at AOL.

Hasn't happened yet, has it?

But why quibble? It's noteworthy that NetZero will offer its free user base "free use" of its prized Platinum service throughout the month of September. Those users, noting a clear difference between dequalitized NetZero free service and the high quality NetZero Platinum service, will then look to AOL and other high cost ISPs to easily conclude the way to go--maybe now, but definitely down the road when free service ends-- is: United Online for 10 small bucks.

It's a good deal. Ain't it? And why not have stronger competitive dial-up market, especially since broadband and DSL seems caught in a stall. Who knows, UnitedOnline might even pick up some sympathy alliances along the way.

Anyway, your referenced link succinctly pointed out a true power that'll exist for the newly merged entity: Strong links, impressive access, to advertising dollars. Read revenue.

When all gets considered, the current NZRO share price seems pretty attractive, doesn't it?

I think so. And I like to party--lol!
