I am sorry wanna_bmw but I have to go with Dan3 on this one. All the comparos I've seen show a 1.4 Athlon4 ( 1.2 Oc'ed to 1.4 ) really handing it to the 1.8 P4. I expect the P4 2Ghz to bring parity. And yes, I know the Athlon 4 1.4 is not out yet, I think Dan3 wanted to make sure you guys stop BSing about benchmarks. To be honest with you, as long a cpu is within +/- 10% of another I don't care. That's probably how much margin of error exists in benchmarking anyway. Unless one cpu can significantly outrun another I don't even bother with benchmarks.

p.s. Memory throughput BS like Sandra mean nothing also.
You will NEVER transfer 3.2GB of data over the bus with existing desktop software. Think about it. Where is this 3.2GB coming from ? What medium can feed a 3.2GB bus?
To further make my point, if an app needs a 3.2GB bus they are doing something wrong.
