zonkie,
In fact, both ofw and I spent a great deal of time and money documenting what we found about Burditt. We had meetings with the Texas Securities Board, the FBI, and the SEC, presenting them with 8 books (I kid you not, books) of evidence. Unfortunately, they did nothing because they are all understaffed, under-funded and only go after high-profile cases that they can win easily.
To the best of my knowledge, there wasn't any foul play involved. That is one of the first things that came to my mind when I heard about it, but, from what I have heard, that is not the case.
I am still trying to find out the name of the city.
I have seen your posts on other boards regarding Burditt. I commend you on your efforts. Sometimes, people do things out of principle rather than for pecuniary gain. Although some called you a basher, I can tell you that your warnings were instrumental in limiting his ability to scam people. Look at what happened to him at nico. You should go back with a big "I TOLD YOU SO". |
