You prove my point.

A humorous piece of political satire of a public political figure is, by 'you,' received exactly as though it were the same entity as a vicious, intentionally unfunny personal missive placed nastily on Dubya's breakfast plate by a neighbor down the road from his ranch.

Voila. Humorless right wingers.

And vicious personal and professional attacks designed, in anger, expressly to wound, lacking any humorous or satirical content at all and intending none, of a member of this community, is regarding as "pretty much the same" thing as commentary about a political figure.
