Notes from NOV Website Training
- Need to notify XO, ED, JAG, CO, BCE, PWC, Gus, Comm Cntr that the NOV & MSG process is being modified. Provide a fresh copy of the NCO ltr from 26 July. Also need to include AlCon across claimancies and commands.
- Develop our policy for who to include in the MSG/NOV generation process, locally. Then coordinate with CNRNE on inputting info and developing approval process to major claimant.
- Make sure CNRNE informs other regional Acts of this change. Ask Blaze also.
- The EM generation produced by the website should also include EPA/DEP/MonCo/ColtsNeck on distirubution.
- Request that everyone in the loop provides their EM to us for reference. Trouble-shooting, set-up, etc.

- Update our UIC in the system
- Turn on our activity for “new” NOVs
- Need to tie in the IT guys, sean/brian. System Admins has to set up NWS Earle for the EM distribution….lburg’s will have Gus, Greg, etc. ghermann’s will have JAG, CO, XO, BCE, PWC, etc. Local/Earle system Admins will have no EM dist list generation Authority outside of our Activity…

- Need to make sure that lower levels are not lost on EM dists generated during NOV actions as it moves up the chain…yes, that ‘s a default…up the chain, only higher levels are kept on distribution…when the NOV action is approved (by MC), THEN all people who have been involved in the NOV historically, are copied on the approval EM.
- Make sure you stay in the loop on the password/uid stuff, so you can register
- In order to add new novs, the SA need to tag you to the activity
- Change our UIC in the system
- Pop the ip address in and have sean install the active platform client. From there, go to the settings to enter the ip address in the sevre name, and user name & group, et.al. |
