Not to get in the middle of this but the 300 or 600 "refund" is actually the amount of savings with expanding the 10% bracket up to the old 15% bracket level of the 2001 taxes.

Its not a refund of 2000 taxes so someone not subject to income taxes in 2001 could be in for a surprise.
