Irrational selling ? Sure about that ? And, the Fed cuts have really motivated us investors to run these these POS networking, telecom, and storage companies to irrational heights again, huh ?
The Fed cuts aren't gonna do crap if these POS tech companies aren't confirming orders of new equipment, services, and software. I'm talking about a real buy confirmation, not some vague remark by a CEO saying that "We're seeing some interest, but no confirmed buys. I think we'll some orders come in after Q2, Q3, maybe Q4. But for sure sometime before Spring 2002."
No orders means no future earnings. No orders means that the overcapacity is still not worked off, and there is no budget for future spending, cause there is no visibility, no need to expand, and in most cases no money for these POS companies to spend.
Just my 2 cents.
