Ping-ponging the photons around is not as good as converting and/or storing their energy. That's why I think the combination of the membrane proteins technology with the experience in large-scale photovoltaics will eventually pump hydrogen for us out of the water - or make it el. power, it's pretty much the same thing. And these panels should be any color as long as it's green(g).
